San Antonio Oral Surgery - Re: COVID - 19

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO OUR VALUED PATIENTS, FAMILIES & REFERRAL OFFICES

RE: CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

In the wake of our community being affected by the COVID-19 virus, we are dedicated to do our part to decrease the spread of the virus; while at the same time being available to patients in need of care.

Our office will remain open and will evaluate and triage all patients.  Based on the details of each case, we will determine if any surgical treatment is essential and immediate.  We will continue to provide the same safe and compassionate care we have for over 30 years.

Additionally, we want to share the measures we have in place to protect the health of our patients, staff and doctors:

Disinfecting:

We have always and continue to follow a strict cleaning procedure before and after each patient. Recently, we have intensified our daily cleaning of all surfaces.

 Keeping You Safe:

In addition to the having ill employees remain out of the office, we are monitoring the temperature of every employee as they arrive to work each day. Additionally, every patient is required to disinfect their hands as soon as they arrive.  When the patients are in the clinical area, their temperature is taken (as well as any escort if present).  If fever or other symptoms are present, the patient is given a mask and asked to exit & reschedule immediately.

 Staying Home When Sick:

Staff from our office speaks directly to each patient to ask screening questions prior to each appointment to ensure that patients who are not feeling well, showing any cold or flu-like symptoms, who have been in contact with a person thought to be infected or shown to be infected with the virus reschedule their appointments without penalty.

 Communication:

Our staff meets regularly and is in close contact with local and regional health officials regarding the latest guidelines. Any procedural adjustments will be made immediately as indicated.

San Antonio Oral Surgery & Dental Implants has always followed stringent safety & health guidelines as established by OSHA, American Association of Maxillofacial Surgeons, and American Dental Association, to ensure a safe workplace. We are diligently following additional CDC guidelines at this time as well. Your health and well-being are our top priority, and we look forward to continuing to serve you.  Thank you for your continued trust in us.
